Deirdre McCarthy, PT, MSPT
Deirdre McCarthy graduated from Boston University's Sargent College with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy With Distinction. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology Cum Laude from Fairfield University in Connecticut. She has over 35 years of experience as a physical therapist. Deirdre has worked primarily in pediatrics including children from birth to 21 years of age. Throughout her career, she has worked in many settings including out-patient, in-patient, Early Intervention, and school based physical therapy. Deirdre has worked with patients with a wide variety of diagnoses and her vast experience in pediatrics led to her interest in scoliosis. She completed the C2 Schroth course through the Schroth Barcelona Institute and has been working with all ages since then. She is excited to be using her knowledge and experience to help patients improve their quality of life.
Amy Higgins, PT, MSPT
Amy Higgins graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey with an Advanced Master of Science in Physical Therapy. She graduated from Manhattan College with honors receiving a dual degree in Biology and Chemistry. Amy has over 24 years of practical experience in the field of physical therapy. She worked for ten years at JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ in which she rotated within acute care, out-patient, brain injury, day rehabilitation, in- patient rehabilitation, and pediatrics. Over the last 18 years she has specialized in the area of pediatrics with a focus on Early Intervention and school based therapy. Amy completed the C2 Schroth Certification course through the Schroth Barcelona Institute. Amy enjoys working collaboratively with her patients and their families to help patients live their best lives .
Elizabeth Ege, PT, DPT
Elizabeth graduated from the University of Southern California with a Clinical Doctor of Physical Therapy with Honors. She also earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry Cum Laude from Virginia Tech University. She has 25 years of experience in the field of physical therapy focusing primarily on pediatrics in a variety of settings including out-patient, in-patient, Early Intervention, school based and in graduate education as an assistant professor. Beth completed the BSPTS L1 course on the 3-D treatment of Scoliosis according to the principles of Schroth and has a level one certification in comprehensive Pilates teacher training. She is passionate about helping patients throughout the lifespan attain their movement goals.
